 Ondo Police Rescue 10-Year-Old Boy from Ritual Attempt, Arrest Two Suspects




The Ondo State Police Command has arrested Maria, 53, and Adewale, 28, for allegedly plotting to use a 10-year-old boy for ritual purposes in Ile-Oluji. Acting on a tip-off, SWAT operatives rescued the boy and recovered evidence.


Preliminary investigations reveal Maria and her son Adewale conspired with an herbalist to perform the ritual for financial gain. 


The suspects have confessed and will be charged upon investigation completion.


Ondo Police Commissioner, CP Adebowale Lawal, praised the operatives and emphasized intelligence-led policing, urging parents to instill values of hard work and integrity in their children.


The public is advised to report suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
